“Ever Present Help” is based on the scriptural promises of Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble,” and Isaiah 40:31, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
The song includes a powerful excerpt from a popular faith sermon by the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa, adding spiritual depth and further emphasizing the message of divine assistance and unwavering faith.
